2012年に開催された京都東山花灯路。 京都の５芸術大学による”伝統の灯り展”に本学のプロジェクトチームとして参加した。東日本大震災の翌年と言う事もあり、テーマは命の尊さ。私達のチームはそれを表現する上で”生命のもたらす一瞬の美”を表現しようと考え、タンポポの綿毛が風によって飛び立つ優美且つ儚いもの一瞬を、光と影を使い表現した。大きい球体は膜と綿毛の造形物の陰影でたんぽぽそのものの優美さを表現し、小さい球体は台座に映りこむ「影」で綿毛の飛び立ちの儚さを表現した。この２つの球体それぞれで「一瞬」を表現し、２つの球体が揃うことで、種を繁栄させるために綿毛として生を受け、飛び立つというストーリーが表現される。この灯籠で日常の中にある小さな生命の尊さについて再認識して貰える様なもの作りを目指した。
A Higashiyama, Kyoto flower light road held in 2012. I participated in light exhibition “of the” tradition with 5 universities of fine arts of Kyoto as a project team of this school. May say the next year of the East Japan great earthquake disaster; the theme is preciousness of the lives. Our team thought to express beautiful “of instant when the” life brought it in expressing it and expressed elegant and vain thing instant when the cotton wool of the dandelion flew away by wind with light and a shadow. In “the shadow” that it seems to a pedestal as for the globe which the big globe expresses elegance of the dandelion itself in a film and the shadow of the molding thing of the cotton wool, and is small of the cotton wool flew, and expressed 立 ちの vanity. I express “an instant” in each these two globes and receive life as cotton wool to let a kind prosper by keeping two globes, and a story to fly away is expressed. I aimed at the crafting that seemed to have you realize it again about preciousness of a certain small life in daily life in this garden lantern.
